| The papers are to be submitted according to a published template for GIS Ostrava 2009 in MS Word, Word Pad or Adobe Acrobat formats. If you are not able to provide none of the above, contact the program committee chairman. |

| Size of papers for the symposium proceedings |
| Up to 10 MB including pictures. Possible larger sizes have to be discussed individually with the program committee chairman. |

| Edited papers |
| Papers to be edited for the symposium proceedings have to be submitted by November 15th, 2008. The paper format shall meet the above-listed requirements. Editing will be made by 1 editor, authors will receive the edited versions by November 30th, 2008. Possible corrections of papers as per editor's request have to be completed and final papers submitted by December 15th, 2008 |

| Length of presentation |
| It will be determined by the head of section, as well as the sequence of papers. For a paper to be published in the proceedings, it has to be submitted by the due date, which is December 15th, 2008 |

| Instructions for poster authors |
Space available to the authors will be 1 m wide x 1.5 m high.
An abstract will be published in the proceedings in Czech or Slovak and in English. As the proceedings will be published on a CD-ROM, it is possible to send up to 8 pages of the poster text. Authors are asked to send us their texts no later than December 15th 2008. |
